Lyin Eyes Chords & Guitar Lesson

Welcome to my Lyin Eyes guitar chord and lesson page by The Eagles. As with most Eagles’ tunes, this one introduces a couple of nice 7 chords as well as the Bm chord.

But don’t let that deter you!

The Bm chord only shows up once during the chorus, so the song is a great way to practicing getting in and out of that barre chord without taking up the entire piece.

Due to this being an Eagles' song, I have made the decision to remove my lesson notes outside of general chord progression and theory.

It is becoming a dangerous world for music teachers online. And while I know you all benefit so much from the detailed arrangements of songs I have here on my website, I have decided to not publish any more songs from the Eagles catalogue.

I am very sorry to disappoint any students who have enjoyed these lessons.

If you are interested in learning Eagles tunes, then I highly recommend you pick up one of the following books with their music:

Song Structure:

Lying Eyes mainly follow the key of G with the verses focusing on the chords G, C, Am and D7.

Many of the chords are played for two measures, but listening closely to the song to see if you can here the one measure changes.

The chorus focuses primarily on the G chord to start but then moves into the three minor chords - Em, Bm, Am.

This file is the author’s own work and represents his interpretation of this song. It’s intended solely for private study, scholarship or research.
