Frosty The Snowman Chords & Guitar Lesson

Welcome to my Frosty The Snowman chord chart. Another Christmas great classic that I grew up listening to. One of my favorite Christmas movies as well along with Rudolph.

This Christmas song probably isn’t for the absolute beginner.

There’s a lot F in it and even though you could play the Fmaj7 to make things easier, I still think you’ll have a bit of [practice ahead of you.

Lots of different chord and chords changes add to the difficulty level so I would recommend this more for late beginners and intermediate players.

Verse:

C                      C                            F                    C
Frosty the snowman was a jolly, happy soul
                 F                                    |C          A7|
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
                  |Dm7            G7|       |C     G7|
And two eyes made out of coal.
C                     C                        F                          C
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say;
                    F                                        |C            A7|
He was made of snow but the children know
                |Dm7      G7|           C
How he came to life one day.

Bridge:
                F                                        Em
There must have been some magic in
          |Dm7     G7|             C
That old top hat they found,
            G                                 G
For when they placed it on his head
            |Am       D7|          G7
He began to dance around.

Verse:
          C                   C
Oh, Frosty the snowman
            F                             C
Was alive as he could be,
                      F                                    |C                A7|
And the children say he could laugh and play
                  |Dm7       G7|        C
Just the same as you and me.

Verse:
C                      C

Frosty the snowman
                     F                               C
Knew the sun was hot that day,
               F
So he said, "Let's run
                    |C                A7|
And we'll have some fun
            |Dm7     G7|      |C    G7|
Now before I melt away"

C                        C
Down to the village
                   F                             C
With a broomstick in his hand,
                    F
Running here and there
          |C                   A7|
All around the square sayin’,
|Cm7        G7|         C
Catch me if you can.

 Bridge:
         F                                     Em
He led them down the streets of town
          |Dm7      G7|     C
Right to the traffic cop,
                 G                          G
And he only paused a moment when
      |Am              D7|         G7 (strum once and mute)
He heard him holler, “Stop!”

Verse:
C                      C

Frosty the snowman
                 F                      C
Had to hurry on his way
                 F
But he waved goodbye saying
|C               A7|
Don't you cry
          |Dm7   G7|                C
I'll be back again someday.

Outro:
C
Thumpety, thump, thump,
C
Thumpety, thump, thump,
C                         G7
Look at Frosty go.
C
Thumpety, thump, thump,
C
Thumpety, thump, thump,
  G7                            C
Over the hills of snow.
